These low-profile pickups are designed specifically for surface mounting on cigar box guitars. They eliminate the need for cutting a large hole in the box and slotting the neck. Simply mount on the surface of the box and run the wire through a small hole to connect with the rest of the electronics. Make sure the magnets face the strings.

There are available in two versions; one is rated at 2k and is perfect for as a neck pickup, the other is 4K and perfect for a bridge pickup. Dimensions are 1.75" wide, 1.65" tall and .23" thick.

I have to update my review, I took the pickup out, then tried something, I soldering an extra ground to the back and wrapped the
pickup in aluminum foil!!
IT WORKED now it's as quiet as all my other guitars.

These are perfect for "ghost" installed pickups or mounting them on top of your CGB with a cover. Work great!

The only way to go

The 5 dollar and 7 fifty are good but don't waste your money on them... this is the BOMB!!! A fantastic sounding, easy mount pickup that kills the 60 hertz hum of a single coil. This little pickup will give you GBG a big sound. I think this is the only pickup I'll be using from here on out and what a great price... Thanks Michael!
